Welcome to the Publishers Licensing Society

Here you will find all you need to know about collective licensing, industry news and how to manage your royalties. PLS' role is to:

  • oversee a collective licensing scheme in the UK for book, journal, and magazine copying
  • stimulate innovation and good practice in rights management
  • clarify the relationship between traditional copyright management practices and those needed in the digital age.

“We are huge fans of collective licensing at Incisive Media as it works for us and it works for many of the large business who take our publications and want to copy some of the content. By working with the team at the PLS we have been able to build up our royalty revenue very significantly in recent years”.

David Worsfold, Group Editorial Services Director, Incisive Media
